Giving a tribute to Princess Grace, an exhibition is being scheduled straddling Kelly’s role from a Hollywood celebrity to Princess of Monaco at Sotheby’s auction house from 15-26 October. The exhibition would include her lavish gowns, ornaments, letters and photographs.
It will set the stage for a series of events, including the 25th anniversary Princess Grace Awards Gala and an arts benefit. This 11-day long exhibition is set to stage countless events on the 25th anniversary of her death.
The major highlight of the exhibition would be Givenchy-designed sleeveless dress (right) with matching fringed bolero jacket in vivid green worn by Princess Grace Kelly on an official 1961 visit with Prince Rainier to lunch at the White House with President John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy. Another most-awaited dress is a Helen Rose ball gown (left) that she carried in the 1956 musical comedy “High Society.”
Give some feast to your eyes:
Here is a statue won by Kelly for her performance in “The Country Girl”. Also, the late Princess Grace’s engagement ring (top), a 10.47 carat emerald cut diamond set with two baguette diamonds and mounted in platinum would be a part of the exhibition.
