Maltese Falcon: the superyacht is now owned by Uk’s highest paid woman

In the world of yachts, the Maltese Falcon is synonymous with excellence. Only the superlative is used for this yacht when it comes to its size, its design and also its cost. This beauty changed hands a few months back, in what has been touted as one of the biggest transactions in the yachting world. Why big? Well, when something involves a boat that is 289 feet and is sold for $120 million, then nothing else comes to mind.

The new owner of this not so cheap boat is Elena Ambrosiadou, Greek-born founder of hedge fund Ikos Partners. She happens to be Uk‘s highest-paid woman and its wealthiest female entrepreneur. To add to its already smashing features. the yacht was given a bit of a touch up, before it was put up for charter in the Mediterranean this summer, for the meager sum of $500,000 per week.

The boat has an atrium where its three decks are united by a spiral staircase surrounding the main mast. The main deck features the saloon, a huge aft cockpit, two separate studio areas and a grand dining room. To add to this, it also has a gymnasium, two Segway scooters, and a full time on-board sports therapist / masseuse.

Getting its due for being such a masterpiece, the yacht was recently featured on the cover of Luxury Toys: Top of the World. Thanks to its three 20-story carbon fiber masts, the Maltese Falcon can cross the Atlantic in just 10 days!
