One of the biggest and highly renowned shipyards, Netherlands based Feadship has now officially launched the all Hampshire II megayacht that carries with it a gorgeous design and some of the most bespoke on-board luxury amenities. Developed as an entirely custom designed luxury megayacht, the Hampshire II measures 78.50 meters in length and comes with a 25 meter high crow’s mast. The yacht itself has been constructed for an anonymous buyer, who is said to be a previous customer of Feadship’s. The Hampshire II luxury superyacht has been conceived as a entirely sports oriented vessel and the boat officially left the dry docks at Kaag, Netherlands on April 14th, 2012, on its way to the new owner. One of the salient features of the Hampshire II is its helipad that has been given a lovely teak finish and helipad can even be converted into a platform for baseball, basketball, tennis as well as soccer, thereby greatly bringing to light the designers’ emphasis on sports activities.
The Hampshire II is powered by two large MTU 16V4000M53R diesel engines that are equally complemented with VTNaiad Marine zero-speed stabilizers. This state of the art combinations enables the luxury superyacht to achieve a maximum speed of 16 knots, while sporting a cruise speed of 12, with a range of an astounding 5,500 nautical miles. The vessel has a 205,000 liters of fuel capacity and is manned by a crew of 23. The crow’s mast is accessible via a dedicated elevator and this high perched part of the boat provides stunning views while acting as an observation post. The designing of the Hampshire II was carried out by Redman Whiteley Dixon and Feadship, where in the duo chose to provide the engine room of the vessel with a Ferrari red color paint scheme. Onboard, the guests and the owners will find an exquisite English style bar located on the bridge deck and there is also present an elegant ‘beach club’ that provides instant access to water platforms and a hydraulic arm.
