Christie’s International Real Estate has taken up an exclusive property for sale. The estate is called Anastasia Pines and it is spread over 200 acres in the Aspen, Colorado enclave if Snowmass. The owner of the property has not been named but the name of the property suggests that it must be a Russian oligarch. In fact the luxury mansion is situated next door to Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich‘s “ranch”. The foreigners are now playing an increasingly bigger role in the US real estate market and might make a significant contribution in putting it back on track.
The property has been listed for $36 million. The 200 acres estate sits at the top of a ridge at an elevation of around 9,400 feet and affords 360-degree views of the Roaring Fork Valley from nearly every room. It is a Chateau style residence spread over 12,800 square feet and features seven bedrooms seven bathrooms and three powder rooms. Eric Smith Associates, the architectural firm has designed the building. Renowned builder Mark Norris of Weitz-Norris Custom Homes built it with Charlotte Moss of New York doing the interiors. The style could be called a modern version of French country style.
The elegant home was completed in 2001. The house boasts of an indoor spa pool with wet bar, large outdoor terraces, several fireplaces, a media/game room, and more. The estate has been priced to be on the same footing with Ambramovich’s property next door. It is a prestigious address as it makes you the neighbor of the Russian billionaire. The layout, the scale, the style, the finish and the price of the estate is suitable for one of the world’s top tycoons. I would not be surprised if a fellow oligarch comes forward to buy it.
