Waldorf Astoria Plans to make this Valentines Day Weekend a ‘Sweet’ Affair

The Waldorf Astoria in Orlando is all set to make this Valentines very very special all the guests coming in during the preceding and proceeding weekends. Their “Waldorf Astoria Chocolate, Wine & Romance Weekends,” will be offered to the overnight guests on February 12-13 and February 19-20, 2011. Rooms will be available at rates starting from $289 on Feb. 12-13 and $309 on Feb. 19-20.

Couples with a sweet tooth can enjoy the Bar du Chocolat, in which they nightly opportunity to experience nearly 30 a la carte chocolate treats, which the hotel’s talented pastry team will create, including handmade chocolate truffles, exotic chocolate cakes, pillows of chocolate mousse, and bowls of beautiful bon-bons. Chocolates will be priced per piece. Their complimentary  Art and Chocolate will give you a tour of the artwork in the hotel and let you have delicious chocolates to go with it. The guests will also get to enjoy Jazz performances by Joseph Billups Duo in the Peacock Alley every night.

For $25 per person, guests can go to a wine tasting where they will be told which wines go best with which chocolates. If you are just interested in the wines then you can go to a casual wine tasting for the same price and get to taste the latest wines in the hotel’s collection. The Waldorf spa is also offering complimentary chocolates and champagne. The hotel definitely seems to be intent on making this Valentines a very ‘sweet’ affair.
