The World’s Most Expensive Omelette to Cost $1,000

When luxury is slowly regaining the shock it went through during the days of the recession, it comes to me as a surprise that there are still hotels that sell omelettes for exorbitant rates as a marketing gimmick. Now, they sell the omelettes for $1,000 under the garb of luxury but then what is luxury that can’t be enjoyed?

If you are willing to spend $1,000 on a single omelette, it doesn’t really mean that you are being luxurious. Rather, it means that you are being foolish and stupid. Norma’s in New York’s Le Parker Meridien hotel offers $1,000 frittata.

It goes by the name “Zillion dollar Lobster Frittata” and comes with caviar as well. It is made of six eggs, lobster claws and 10 oz. of Sevruga caviar. The frittata can however be shared with a few people on the table but it still makes to be one of the craziest and most foolish ways to spend money, if you asked me. In my opinion, it seems to be a marketing gimmick that might help the hotel owners to attract customers who might want to try the lesser priced dishes on the menu.
