The Shadow Ebike With Wireless Technology By Daymak

Ebikes are a boon, especially in the new age, but ebikes with all loosely placed faulty wiring can be a pain. Toronto-based Daymak Inc. has come up with a solution to this problem by designing the world’s first wireless power-assist electric bicycle, the Shadow Ebike. The Shadow Ebike uses ISM 2.4 GHz wireless and frequency hopping spread spectrum technology. It has no brakes or gear cables, and is a hassle-free wireless ebike. There is a Daymak Drive controller that controls the electric motor, the magnetic regenerative brakes, the throttle, and the pedal assist.

The required Daymake Drive wireless controller, the battery and any other electronics have been cleverly and compactly packed inside the ebike’s front wheel that has been custom designed for the same purpose. The wheel is also equipped with a USB port, a charging port and an LED battery power display. The Shadow Ebike has a 250W or 350W electric motor and a 36V 10AH lithium-ion battery that goes for around 20 to 25 km or 12 to 15 miles on motor power, and can go to around 35 to 40 km or 22 to 25 miles with pedal-assistance. The battery takes around 4-5 hours to recharge.

The use of wireless technology opens up the possibilities of the ebike being able to incorporate or connect to smartphones or even PCs while on the go and Daymak also promises that the wireless technology cannot be easily hacked into or tampered with. The Shadow ebike is priced at $1999 in the US.
