Porsche Designs’ car-inspired creations are high on quality and style. Most recently, the luxury brand introduced the P6620 Dashboard watch. As its name suggests, this brilliant horological creation is inspired by the dashboards of Porsche sports cars.
This masculine luxury watch is smart and sporty enough for the owner of a Porsche sports car. And for car lovers who cannot own a Porsche, the Porsche watch is certainly worthy of aspiration. The main chassis of the P6620 Dashboard is built out of industrial grade titanium with a black PVD coating. It sounds heavy, but the titanium is very lightweight. Moreover, since this is from Porsche Design, you will also find additional touches. For instance, the titanium chassis is both rust-resistant and anti-allergic. Moreover, the P6620 Dashboard is also water-resistant up to depths of 100 meters.
It appears to be a tough, hardy sports watch, but there is no getting away from its classic good looks. The P6620 Dashboard has a 44mm dial, which sits well on male hands. The outer ring of the dial bears white enamel numbers. This is protected by a sapphire crystal outer layer, which is both scratch-resistant and anti-reflective. The dial includes, of all things, a tachometer that records speeds of up to 330kmph. Watch out for this one the next you sit inside a Porsche.
Equipped with a mechanical self-winding ETA Valjoux 7753 mechanism, the P6620 Dashboard is available in 20 variations. The basic titanium version features a black rubber strap, but there is also a version with a gold chassis and a calf leather strap. Each watch costs about $5,642.
