The new country house hotel, Lime Wood at Lyndhurst, Hampshire gives you the serenity and the beauty of the rural life, but it is a manicured one. Guests can enjoy the beauty of nature from this hotel, which is located near the New Forest. But it also has all the facilities you will need for a jet set life (the place even has a helipad).
Due to the presence of a moneyed gentry and business coming from the nearby markets, many hotels have come up that also happen to be in good business. Even the Four Seasons opened a hotel in 2005, which was replete with all the luxuries one could ask for. But now the Lime Wood is giving it stiff competition with its posh yet understated ambience.
The Georgian manor houses 15 suites and 14 double bedrooms that have their own drawing rooms, book filled libraries and a fire-place. Since the hotel isn’t too large, you will get a very personalized treatment from the hotel staff (don’t be surprised if they bring you your favourite cocktail or beverage). At $700 for a weekend, it is not exactly cheap, but the experience you will get here will be worth every penny for sure.
