The Royal Wedding has made weddings the flavor of the season. The hotels on both side of the Atlantic had tailored special packages during the royal wedding to offer the guests a feel of the real thing. The enthusiastic response from the guests has made the hotels create attractive wedding packages that would make the couple and their family and guests feel royal and give them a memorable experience.
Most of the hotels provide grand infrastructure for the wedding and luxurious space for large number of guests. The stress of most packages is on the amount you are willing to spend on food and beverages. We had reported earlier on the Taj Boston wedding package. If your food bill is on the higher side the hotel is willing to throw in a lot of freebies for the newly wedded couple including honeymoon packages, spa treatment and all.
We made our way through a lot of wedding packages on offer. We evaluated the infrastructure and the amenities on offer. We found a lot of rather attractive offers that promise you a once in a lifetime experience and we are listing below the eleven venues we found to be the most gorgeous. Some have special packages and some don’t. You can choose the one that suits you most according to the location and the budget.
1) InterContinental Hong Kong
If you are booking the Intercontinental at Hong Kong for your wedding and plan to spend over HK$1 million on food and beverages then your one night stay becomes complementary along with a party for 30 guests in the Presidential suite, a three night honeymoon package at any Intercontinental property in the Asia Pacific region, free use of couple’s spa suite and a Chanel hosted bridal party with bridesmaids gifts from Jo Malone
2) JW Marriott: Mumbai, India
The hotel boasts of more than 16,500 square feet of event space. This award winning hotel has mastered the art of holding luxurious big fat Indian weddings. The Grand Sangam Ballroom can seat 1,100 people. There are outdoor swimming pools and seven restaurants to choose from. And the icing on the cake is the gorgeous Quan Spa.
3) Paradisus Resorts: Punta Cana, DR
Paradisus Resorts have two properties in the Dominican Republic – the Paradisus Punta Cana and the Paradisus Palma Real. They are always open for customized and personalized packages for a wedding but they are now offering three pre-organized programs. Aqua is a pre designed event with a la carte add-on options. Chill Out Chic is the less traditional version of the program and Fantasy is the program more suited for smaller, more intimate wedding parties.
4) Vero Beach Hotel & Spa: Vero Beach, FL
This venue is more suited smaller wedding parties with under 200 guests. But it makes for a perfect venue for a casual-chic wedding. The Vero Beach Hotel & Spa with its Oceanfront setting makes for a perfect venue for an outdoor ceremony. There is dedicated space inside also that offer stunning water views.
5) Firesky Hotel & Resort: Scottsdale, AZ
They offer a complete package for a wedding ceremony. They have all the suitable infrastructure and allow the use of the Oasis Lagoon for wedding parties. They provide the garden chairs, sound system, unity candle table and gift table. The ballroom can accommodate up to 1,000 guests at cocktails or up to 500 guests in a seated dinner. The buffet packages start at $86 a head, and plated packages run from $66 to $86 per person.
6) Eden Roc Renaissance: Miami Beach, FL
The Eden Roc is a beachfront property with over 70,000 square feet of indoors and out door event space. Their staff are experts at handling a wedding. They have customization options not just for the décor but the groom can even ride in off the beach on a white horse. They will arrange it all and ensure that the horse behaves. Apart from ballrooms the resort has a 5,000 square feet rooftop terrace that offers panoramic views of the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. The resort is close to several nightclubs and is suitable if you have guests staying overnight for a multiday wedding ceremony.
7) Marriott Marina del Rey: Venice Beach, CA
This Marriott property has been redesigned and renovated recently which has helped it come out of its corporate hotel mindset. Its location provides brilliant views over Marina del Rey, the Malibu mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. Its Bayview Ballroom boasts a 360-degree view of the coast, mountain, and city. The poolside event space can accommodate up to 700 guests. The hotel, by the way, boasts of a helipad in case you want to fly in for your wedding.
8) Capella Pedregal: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
This is an exclusive resort with only 66 rooms. Located on the southern coast of Baja peninsula the resort boasts of rooms that range in size from a minimum 600 square feet to 4,000 square feet. The resort has expert wedding planners who can plan it for you on a custom basis. They offer to add traditional Mexican touches to your wedding with live mariachi music, a gift of 13 gold coins to the bride and encircling the couple in a lazo after the coin ceremony.
9) Parker: Palm Springs, CA
There are three ballrooms at the Parker Palm Springs in different sizes that can accommodate between 150 and 400 guests at a reception. They do not offer pre determined wedding package but have professional wedding consultants at hand who can create for you the most memorable receptions and celebrations. They have a record of earlier wedding held in their hotel. You can refer to them and choose the style you like the most.
10) The Dorchester: London, UK
The iconic London hotel has one of the only two ballrooms in Central London that can accommodate 1,000 guests for cocktails and 430 guests for dinner. The wedding here are custom created as they don’t offer any pre organized wedding packages. The special attraction of the hotel is its luxurious spa that offers several packages.
11) JW Marriott: Chicago, IL
This Chicago hotel is a relatively new Marriott location. It was opened for guests earlier this year. The hotel has attracted attention for it soaring lobby that looks incredible. For weddings you must check this hotel out as it has the biggest ballrooms in downtown Chicago with an incredible dome and a seating capacity for 650 guests.
