Range Rover Evoque had seemed to be the ultimate model produced by the luxury car makers but when you see the all new Range Rover you will be amazed at how much a luxury SUV can provide in terms of comfort and performance. This is a new high for later editions of Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate Edition. The design of the 2013 Range Rover has been finalized. Their development center in United Kingdom have designed and engineered the latest model. It will have an all-aluminum unibody structure and it will be produced at a new manufacturing facility at Solihull, UK where the latest low-energy aluminum body construction technologies have been incorporated in the plant.
2013 Range Rover is All AluminumÂ
The earlier model of Range Rover had also impressed one and all. People talked about Range Rover ipad connectivity and even appreciated the concept bike that was released with it. But the 2013 model is way ahead of everything you have seen so far. The all aluminum body is 39% lighter that the steel body of the outgoing model. The vehicle is now 926lbs lighter. However, the model made with US specifications that will come with the naturally-aspirated 5-liter V8 will be approximately 700lbs lighter. This significant reduction in weight has made it possible to enhance the vehicle’s performance and agility. It has also resulted in an improvement in fuel economy and reduction in CO2 emissions.
The Handling and Agility of the Vehicle is Sharper
Apart from the aluminum body there has been a lot of re-engineering in the new model. A four-corner air suspension has been incorporated with all-new aluminum front and rear chassis architecture. In real terms this re-engineering has made the handling and agility of the vehicle sharper while retaining the luxurious ride. The steering has a more natural feel and it seems more confident about its cornering abilities.
2013 Range Rover Rear Seats Have More Legroom
The interiors have also undergone some significant improvements. Most importantly the noise levels have been further reduced with acoustic lamination of the windshield and side door glass. The new suspension architecture has made the ride more comfortable. The rear seat now has 4.7 inches more legroom than the outgoing model. The option of a two place rear seating package makes it one of the most luxurious rear seat in any SUV. The new model will be available in over 160 markets worldwide. The American supplies will start in December 2012.
