Richard Branson Puts his Yacht Necker Belle Up for Sale

Necker Belle, the 32 meter sailing catamaran was built by French Shipyard CMN in 2003 but became famous after it was bought by Richard Branson in 2007. He invested in it and gave it to Azzura Yachts in Australia who worked extensively on it to rebuild and upgrade the yacht. Branson and his family has been seen sailing in the yacht around the glorious islands of the Caribbean. Whenever the family is not using the yacht it is made available for charter. It is a popular yacht in the charter circles as it offers an exceptional platform for tailor-made itineraries in and around the Caribbean. One could go island-hopping from the Bahamas to Barbados or from Antigua to St. Lucia and of course the world-famous Necker Island.

The Yacht is a Mobile Version of Necker Island

Branson is very attached to the island he owns, the Necker Island. He calls it his home and his favorite hideaway. He has got the yacht designed in a way that it reflects the essence of his island and he confirms on his website that the experience on board is not unlike a mobile version of Necker Island. The interior of the yacht is very luxurious and modern. It offers accommodation for ten guests apart from providing various dining and relaxation areas. However, the highlight of the yacht is the ‘Necker Nymph’ which is a fully submersible underwater aircraft. The craft is capable of carrying two passengers along with a pilot down to depths of up to 30 meters and cruise around for two hours. Exploring the marine life in the beautiful Caribbean waters is an experience of a lifetime.
