Porsche Creates Red 7 Version of Its Boxster S for Netherlands

Porsche is creating a limited edition ‘Red7’ version of its Boxster S exclusively for its customers in Netherlands. The German automaker does not boast of selling huge numbers of cars but its sports cars have created a niche for itself. Car enthusiasts look forward to their special editions as they always manage to incorporate special features that add to the overall experience. As the name suggests, the Red 7 will be produced in red color and the production run will be for only seven units. The special edition model will feature matte gray 20-inch rims, engine hood, bonnet and mirror casings.

The Engine of the Special Edition Has Been Left Unaltered

The same color combination will be maintained in the interiors also. The two color theme will be represented by the extensive use of black leather to cover almost everything and contrasting it with red accents particularly on the dashboard and the center console. The interiors have that extra luxurious touch to differentiate it from the regular models. The special edition features Bose audio system along with Porsche’s Communication Management System and the Sport Chrono Package. The engine of the Boxster has not been tweaked for the special edition. It features the same unaltered 3.4-liter flat-six engine producing 315 hp. It comes with a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearbox.

Special Porsche Boxster-s Red 7

The Special Edition Red 7 Carries a Special Price Tag of €119,935

There are some technical modifications in the special edition in terms of lowering of the suspension along with the sport exhaust system which have been given black tips. Like all the special edition and limited edition models the Boxster S Red 7 also carries a special price tag of €119,935. It is a significant jump on €77,800 which is the cost of a premium Boxster S in Netherlands. At this price point Porsche is expected to face stiff competition from Nissan GTR which promises loads of fun. However, with a very limited edition of only seven units the car owner might feel extra special and might be encouraged to pay the extra price.
