Pete Sampras Scales Down Price for his 20 Acre Estate to under $20 Million

The retired tennis legend Pete Sampras is finding the real estate game tougher than a tennis match. The tennis ace, in a long career had managed to win fourteen Grand Slam titles and he always seemed to be in control during his tennis matches. But he seems to have lost control when it comes to dealing in real estate. He and his actress wife Bridgette Wilson-Sampras are selling their newly-built, custom estate in the guard gated community in Lake Sherwood, a sub-division of Thousand Oaks, California.

The high end property was listed as far back as March of 2010 but has not been able to find a buyer as yet. The asking price has been scaled down to just under $20 million now in the hope that someone will come forward to take the massive property off their hands. Designed as a single family home, the luxury home has 7 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. The master bedroom features separate his and her bathrooms. It is a new contemporary home built on a hill top with stunning views if the town below.

Pete Sampras, in the meantime is living with his wife and two kids in a $5.6 million pad at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in the star-studded Brentwood area of Los Angeles. Ironically his home built on a 20 acre plot is still looking for a buyer. The main house has 13,000 square feet of built up area, a 2,000 square feet fully equipped gym and a 1,200 square feet fully contained guest house. The world class architectural estate has very clean lines and sleek décor. One of the obvious features is the professional grade tennis court with lights. There are huge lawns, an infinity pool and several covered verandas. Though the home offers 360 degree views it assures the residents complete privacy.
