Perrier-Jouet champagne celebrates its bicentenary this year. And what better way to celebrate than with a commemorative luxury pen. Luxury pen maker Omas has created a limited edition Perrier-Jouet Bicentenaire Fountain Pen. Two centuries ago, the first Living Legacy champagne was unveiled from the house of Perrier-Jouet. The new limited edition pens from the house of Omas are inspired by that famous Living Legacy champagne. These handmade pens are a dark bottle green in color, harking back to the champagne bottle itself. The gold trims are a further reminder of the original inspiration of these special edition pens. As you look closer, various other intricate details spring back at you.
A bicentennial logo is engraved on the body of the pen. Here too, the reference to Living Legacy champagne is very evident. The Art Nouveau flower that adorns bottles Perrier-Jouët Cuvée Belle Epoque champagne has been worked into this bicentennial logo. The medium of the pen is new and different from the champagne bottles, but the overall feel of Perrier-Jouet shines through.
The bicentennial logo appears on the nib of this special edition pen as well. The nib, which is hand-crafted out of 18 karat gold, is an indicator that this is no small occasion. A total of 1,811 special edition pens are being created, of which 20 will be crafted out of pink gold. The pink gold pens will be available for sale only on order. These special edition Perrier-Jouet pens will be packaged in an elegant box that also contains an inkpot. Each fine pen will set you back by 950 Euros (approximately $1,344). The pink gold versions should be considerably more expensive.
