If you have a lot of money and don’t know how to spend it, well you could o ahead and flush it down the bathroom. That is exactly what someone did when they bought what could be the world’s most expensive commode for $45.9 Million at Sotheby’s. The commode comes from 18th century France and comes from Louis XVI era. The commode belonged to billionaire banker Edmond J. Safra and his wife Lily and they knew how to make money off their little device in the bathroom.
They had expected to get 40 Million dollars but they ended up getting a lot more than just that. They also sold an amazing ivory cup for $614,500. This little piece comes from the land of Germans and was one of the hot favourites at the auction. People thronged to see the little ivory cup and the auction had to come to an end anyway as the winning bidder took home the prized cup.
These rare and ancient pieces tell you how much they are worth, and even if we are talking about commodes, they are still worth every penny that the bidders bid for. It is not clear though who actually bought these commodes but whoever did it will surely go ahead and auction it off as well, so if you would like to get either the cup of the commode, you might want to track the buyer and bid for it yourself. So go ahead and get it for yourself before someone else does. Of course, you need to have a fat bank balance for it.
