New York set to get many new world class hotels

The New York City will be seeing a flurry of activity in the hotel scene this summer. Many new hotels will be coming up on the city’s scene. The Andaz Wall Street recently opened with a lot of pomp and show. And now Cassa will also throw open it’s doors to its first guests come this August. Then there is the 607-room InterContinental that has set the date of July29 for its opening. This grand hotel is on the 44th street of New York Times Square.

Following the latest trend of going green, this 36 storey hotel is the largest hotel in the Big Apple to have LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. The rooms in the hotel have floor to ceiling windows to make sure you can take in the panoramic view of this city that never sleeps. The rooms all are quite spacy with an average of 350 square feet area. The bathrooms have walk in showers and for the entertainment you have impressive 42-inch flat screen TV. Though I am sure the city offers much better alternatives than the idiot box.

The InterContinental has 25 Panoramic Avenue suites, and also a duplex penthouse suite. This place will house a French bistro inspired restaurant called Ca Va. The hotel also has all the other amenities of a five star hotel. Rates start from $300 per night.
