It is the 86th edition of their catalog and they have a dedicated client base that looks forward to their Christmas book that is known to feature expensive and often outrageous Fantasy gifts. This edition is no different and contains a wide range of gift ideas that are positioned at an equally wide range of price points starting from $10 to just over $1 million.
The Volcano Red Convertible Comes with Many Extras
It is the ‘Fantasy Gifts’ section of the catalog that is capable making you swoon over in delight. A special edition McLaren 12C Spider in red color is available for $354,000. The catalog describes the car as ‘the drive of a lifetime’. It is a Volcano Red convertible that is trimmed in gloss black. The interior is done with black leather stitched with red thread. The car in the catalog costs more than if you were to buy it directly from the factory after the delivery starts in November. But it comes with extras like a McLaren luggage set, a business-class trip for two to England, lodgings in London, a trip to the automaker’s recently opened Technology Center and dinner with Ron Dennis, the McLaren chairman.
The Watch Depicts a Classic Love Story
The priciest gift in the catalog is a pair of “his and hers” timepieces from Van Cleef & Arpels for just over $1 million. Each of the watches depicts a scene from a love story. The face of one of the watches shows a woman on the observation deck of the Eiffel Tower, gazing toward Notre Dame. The other watch features a man on top of Notre Dame looking toward the Eiffel Tower. A Van Cleef & Arpels spokes person explained that it is a classic love story. The figures on the watch face are dynamic and embellished with diamonds. The buyers of the top gift from the catalog get an accompanying trip to Paris, where they can see the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame for themselves, and also visit Geneva, where they can tour the Van Cleef & Arpels watch making workshops. The catalog also includes gaming machines, woody tailgate trailer, water-propelled jetpack and much more.
