‘Fiore di Cristallo’, world’s most expensive kitchen, designed by renowned designer Claudio Celiberti was unveiled by celebrity chef Aldo Zilli recently in London. The kitchen has been designed to the last detail including a Swarovski Crystal chandelier. The highlight however of the designer kitchen is its solid copper walls and the handcrafted appliances. Claudio Celiberti, the designer worked on the kitchen for over a year but has created a masterpiece crafted out of pure crystal from Murano and some of the finest stone. With a price tag of £1 million, it is the world’s most expensive kitchen and takes almost eight month to create against your order.
The Kitchen Was Unveiled in One Mayfair, London
Aldo Zilli, the celebrity chef co-hosted the launch party at One Mayfair in London. The handcrafted bespoke design allows for customization. There are choices on offer for opulent finishes like copper lining and crystal door handles. The thing that attracts you to this opulent design is the unique ‘crystal island’ worth £36,850, with a £26,400 Swarovski chandelier hanging just above it. The sink or the basin is also crafted out of crystal and costs £2,680. Its beauty is enhanced by chrome taps that have been clad in crystal by Philip Starck and adds £1,600 to the total cost. Every item is created out of the best material with the finest craftsmanship and adds to the cost of the kitchen. The stone worktop is worth £6,850 and the handcrafted German appliances from Gaggenau at £24,000. The fridge is also special and costs £5,000. There is a wine climate cabinet worth £2,762 and an espresso coffee machine costing £1,714.

Claudio Celiberti, the designer believes that the most expensive kitchen is a combination of striking design elements, exquisite natural materials and fine craftsmanship. Mr. Zilli also believes that Claudio has managed to combine innovative design with functionality faultlessly and that’s what defines true luxury. The name Fiore di Cristallo is a takeoff on ‘Cristallo di Murano’, the unique gems created with a complex and closely guarded technique. Copper has been used extensively as it is considered to be the most hygienic material that counteracts harmful microbes. The kitchen on display is the only piece made so far and if you order one now you will have to wait for eight months for delivery and installation.
