This collection is a tribute to the grace and elegance of Princess Grace. It is a matter of pride for Montblanc to be able to expand its existing art and culture program and get into a charity partnership with the Princess Grace Foundation- USA. They would like to pay tribute to the arts through their support for the foundation. The collection consisting of timepieces, writing instruments and jewelry pays tribute to her unprecedented elegance. All items in the collection have been embellished with filigree petal cut stones in honor of the Grace de Monaco pink rose, created in 1956 on the occasion of her wedding. The Montblanc “Collection Princesse Grace de Monaco†is consisting of three one-of-a-kind fine jewelry sets, timepieces and writing instruments. The collection is a fine example of the most refined and sophisticated designs. The unique Montblanc Diamond is used to represent the stunning elegance of Princess Grace of Monaco. Other sparkling diamonds and some of the finest stones have been used to adorn the pieces. Each set includes a necklace of cascading pink sapphires and diamonds, long earrings ending with drop cut pink sapphires and a refined bracelet to match.
The limited edition timepiece which is part of the collection is made in 18K red gold. It has been embellished with 76 sparkling baguette cut diamonds on the bezel and on the horns. The watch also features a Montblanc diamond on the crown. Flange and dial is set with a sparkling cascade of 177 brilliant cut diamonds. The alligator strap and buckle is set with 76 brilliant cut diamonds. Princesse Grace de Monaco monogram is engraved on the back of the case. The timepiece is limited to 8 pieces but the writing instrument in the collection is limited to only three pieces as a tribute to Princess Grace’s three children. Diamonds and rubies decorate the champagne colored solid gold cap and barrel. The cone is enriched with mother-of-pearl cabochon. The Princesse Grace de Monaco monogram is finely engraved on the cap-top. Montblanc shares the principles of Princess Grace Foundation and support it in encouraging emerging artists in theatre, dance and film by awarding grants in the form of scholarships, apprenticeships and fellowships.
