Missing the Pixelated Images on Cellphone? Get a Pixelated Bed!

Spanish designer, Cristian Zuzunaga for Hastens has created what could be one of the most bizarre designs ever. His furniture designs are inspired by pixels and thus much of the beds, and other pieces of furniture are pixelated to look at. Funnily, though we may get annoyed to see pixelated images on TV or computer screens, the pixelated furniture actually look pretty cool and I am sure many people would agree with me.

Hastens is a Swedish bed manufacturer and they have teamed up with Wallpaper, which is a design magazine read internationally and also with Cristian Zuzunaga. They would be unveiling their Hand Made issue very soon, and many bed designers and admirers have been waiting for its release.

The limited edition beds and furniture includes “rainbows pixels”. The beds are made of natural materials such as wool, linen, horsehair, cotton and solid Swedish pine, a signature of Hastens’. The limited edition pixelated Hastens bed would cost you about $58,430 and would be available by the end of 2010. If you are planning to buy a new bed, I would ask you to wait.
