Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim Rocks

Anaheim is the hometown of alternative band No Doubt, and the title track Tragic Kingdom was all about how plastic Disneyland is really. The song spoke about the commercialization and commodifying of “having fun” in terms of the Disney Land, which ultimately according to the band was “Tragic Kingdom”.

Though it raked up a good amount of controversy, Disneyland per se continues to be one of the most visited sites in the world. The Mickey Mouse penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California is the new entrant that encourages the glorifying of the Tragic Kingdom described by Gwen Stefani and the gang. The luxury hotel comes with views of the 500-acre resort through floor-to-ceiling windows and has 1,600 square feet with an open living area.

It even has 2 bedrooms and the penthouse comes splashed with Mickey’s colors of black, white, red and yellow. Some of the goodies that one could expect are king-size bed, lounge chairs, a 37″ flat panel TV and a DVD player. The Penthouse is filled with imagery borrowed from Mickey Mouse and his friends. If you are a fan of the Disney World, do check this hotel out!
