Man’s Dream Pad Being Created at Central St Giles by Christer Holloman

Christer Holloman was asked by Sky News Tech Talk to put together a “Man’s Dream Pad”, a home for the modern urban man, in 4 weeks. He is detailing the progress he is making towards the end result through a blog. He got a penthouse flat in London’s newest and most iconic building, Central St Giles, by internationally renowned architect Renzo Piano and a free hand to pick and choose among the world’s best furniture and technology manufacturers and suppliers to bring the vision to life.

In his second blog he is taking a closer look at the kitchen. He first picks a bold luxury American style fridge from GE that has a digital color display and dispenses filtered water as well as an unlimited supply of ice. Holloman has chosen Cusiniart for small kitchen appliances as he feels their products are engineered for exceptionally long life and are designed to be easy to use, as well as to give excellent performance day after day.

For the dining table and chairs his choice is Fritz Hansen. From Indesit & Hotpoint he has picked an Induction Hob, stylish Hood and top of the range oven. From Vitra he picked one of the world’s most classic office chairs, the EA 108 and the Noguchi coffee table that the designer himself describe as the best work he has done in his entire career. There are three installments to come before the Dream Pad takes concrete shape.
