Madonna teams up with D&G to launch a new eyewear line

Madonna, will always be known for her three decade contribution to the American music industry. But as a matter of fact she has worn many hats. Apart from being a singer, she is also a dancer, writer, producer, director, entrepreneur and a fashion designer. Now that she is moving away from the limelight, she has started exploring her other talents. Having launched some clothing line in the past she is no stranger to the fashion world.

After a stint in juniors’ clothing line called Material Girl, she has now forayed into the eyewear segment. She partnered with Dolce & Gabbana to launch MDG, her first sunglass collection. Personally designed by the Pop diva, the eyewear line has a strong femininity factor.

They are oversized with wraparound designs that radiate the ‘confident look’ that most women want. The collection also carries the MDG logo. Madonna’s association with the brand is expected to give impetus to the collection, that’ll witness a launch in May 2010. For all you know this singing sensation might have serious plans to make a mark in the fashion world.
