It is a natural human urge to see the world but going around the world requires a lot of time and money. Ampersand Travel, a luxury travel firm, along with hotel group Aman is offering a 365 day tour across the world that will take you to some of the most stunning destinations spread over four continents. It is a package with the longest itinerary is also one of the most expensive as it is priced at £220,000 per person. It is obviously not designed for regular tourists but high net worth individuals in the need of a pampering sabbatical. The tour starts from the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan and travels through 19 countries in Asia, North Africa, Europe and US before ending in India.
The package is very focused on the comfort of the guest who would get to stay in 32 of the most exclusive hotels during the tour. One of them, the Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice, has been in the news for hosting the lavish wedding ceremony of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin. The guests are scheduled to stay in that hotel for 11 nights. James Jayasundera, managing director of Ampersand Travel hopes to create the atmosphere of a private club on the tour for his elite guests. Each guest will receive individual attention and will be treated like royalty. The guests can remain connected to their office and business during the tour as all the selected hotels offer the best of connectivity.
The itinerary has been designed to celebrate the best of each country. It is scheduled to begin in Bhutan in March 2015 when the Himalayas are alive with flowers. The next destination is Thailand where guests will have access to private white sand beach. The tour will then move to a tropical island in Philippines that offers the best settings for sailing, windsurfing, fishing or snorkeling.
