Ritz Carlton hotel in New York is strategically located facing the iconic Central Park. It is housed in a pre war building built in 1938. Originally the building housed the St. Moritz Hotel but was later taken over by Millennium Partners in 2006 who renovated it extensively. The building now boasts of over 250 luxury hotel rooms apart from luxurious apartments on the top 12 floors of the building. A two-floor condominium on the 30th and 31st floors of the building has been listed couple of days ago for an asking price of $77.5 million.
Christopher Jeffries, co-founder of real estate developer Millennium Partners LLC owns the lavishly furnished property and believes that the whopping price is justified. The condo has a total of 14 rooms and a total space of 10,888 square foot of space. Jeffries bought the condo in 2003. The price at which the transaction had taken place was not clear from the records available with the New York City Department. After renovation and refitting, the condo was transformed into a den of luxury. Millennium Partners which was founded in 1990 are one of the high profile developers of commercial and high end residential space.
Jeffries had, earlier in 2008, sold another luxury condo in the building which was located on the 29th floor. According to the records available with the City department $28.5 million were paid for the condo at the time. This duplex condo, however has four bedrooms and five and a half baths. The condo enjoys the benefit of several high end amenities because of being located in the building with the Ritz Carlton hotel. It boasts of an attended lobby, concierge and a health club. Brown Harris Stevens are handling the listing and Kyle W. Blackmon is the listing agent.
