One of the foremost names in the hospitality industry, Marriot International has now named, Tim Miller as the new director of the company’s luxury boutique style brand, EDITION that was established in the year 207 and development partner of EDITION, Ian Schrager, at the unveiling of the luxury boutique hotel brand had stated that Marriot envisioned the creation of up to 100 hotels under the new brand. As the new Senior Vice President and Managing Director for EDITION Hotels, Tim Miller will be responsible for the formulation of brand strategy, operations and will also be directly involved in the expansion of the EDITION brand. The EDITION brand of hotels has its installations in Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, and Istanbul and Marriot is currently planning to launch another five projects that are scheduled to be launched in some of the key tourist destinations such as London and South Beach in Miami, Florida.
Marriot with the new posting of Tim Miller will be able to greatly benefit from his vast experience from his previous positions as being a consultant in regards to lifestyle and entertainment brands, such EDITION, Balducci’s and Carnival Cruises. Mr. Miller was previously the CEO of Crunch, wherein he led to the development of various high end fitness centers across the U.S and has even served as the Chief Branding Officer for the Morgans Hotel Group, as well as President of Alden Hotels. His new placement as the Director of EDITION brand will see him take control of the luxury boutique brand from the company’s offices in New York City.
