Rolls Royce is not the kinda company that would collaborate with a designer unless he or she is almost the top brass in the arena. Thus, recently they announced that they are going to work with California-based designer Bijan Pakzad. The collaboration was announced at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The designer has a fetish for cars too, and makes quite an amount of money by customizing high end cars. In fact, his yellow Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe can be seen parked outside the store. Bijan and Rolls Royce announced that they would be launching the Limited Edition Phantom models which would come with his signature. These cars would be sold for a price of $1 million. About 30 of these cars would be sold to a select group of VIPs whose names are not disclosed.
Michael Jordan, George Bush and Bill Clinton are some of the clients that Rolls Royce caters to. These Rolls Royce cars are designed for the most powerful people in the world from around 20 countries. It would be interesting to see who these powerful clients are, and y guessing is that it would include the usual Russian billionaires and Chinese investors.
