Audemars Piguet Unveils Limited Edition Pieces to Mark 40th Anniversary of Royal Oak Model

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Royal Oak Model, Audemars  Piguet, the high-end Swiss watchmaker has been introducing limited edition of time pieces. The Open worked Extra-Thin Royal Oak timepiece is the latest creation of horological specialists featuring the several characteristics of 1972 model with modern approach. The front and rear of this classic model is prominent with glare-proof sapphire crystalline element with excellent Haute Horlogerie. This gives not only protection from water, also for movement. This time it is in 950 platinum decorative appearances. The iconic model is featuring the thirty eight milli meter casing. The special event is celebrated globally with forty pieces which will be released in January.

This is the one of the thinnest models with 3.05 thicknesses. The self winding mechanical model with its Calibre 2121 was the very initial version of Royal Oak in 1972. This artistic piece is mastered only by few craftsmen with expertise in engraving and hollowing to give transparent effect and impressive skeletonisation . The refined decoration and finishing is an eye treat and the movement could be adored leisurely. The 950 platinum bracelets has new folding clasp. Open worked slate-grey dial has white gold hour hands with light emitting coat.

The technical information of  legend Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak  are self winding manufacture calibre 5122, bridge, oscillating weight with  its short  message “ AP Royal Oak 1972-2012 and with “tapisserie”. Out of 247 inner parts, thirty six parts are of precious jewels with forty hours’ power reserve, will be scheduled to launch on first month of next year.
