Ken Downing who is now Senior Vice President and Fashion Director, Neiman Marcus Stores has been at the forefront of fashion since joining the company in late 1980s. He is not just another fashion know it all. He is also a big supporter of Dress for Success, an organization that helps women re-enter the workforce by providing professional attire, employment training and skills. He is amongst the people who set the trends. He keeps busy advising women and attending fashion shows.
Supported by Ken Downing, Dress for Success Miami is organizing Dress to impress event which is being sponsored by the Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. and Comcast. “We believe the message that everyone has the right to attain economic self-sufficiency will resonate powerfully in our community and encourage others to give back,” said Sonia Jacobson, Executive Director, Dress for Success Miami.
The event is being hosted by fashion TV presenter Louise Roe, who fronts the CW’s hit new makeover show, Plain Jane, and is the newest cast member of MTV’s The City. The Gala will be held at Miami’s EPIC Hotel, 270 Biscayne Blvd. Way on Saturday, October 23, 2010. A Moet cocktail reception and silent auction will begin at 7pm, and the main event will start at 8pm.
