The Governor’s Suite Provides the Most Luxurious Accommodation on the St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort

The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is the only resort in Puerto Rico that has been awarded AAA’s Five Diamond Award. Though the resort has a total of 139 rooms and suites, all having ocean-view, pool-view, garden-view or even oceanfront but the highlight is the Governor’s Suite located on the second level of the Governor’s House. The one bedroom suite boasts of a double sided rattan-furnished private terrace that offers enchanting views of the Atlantic Ocean and the resort’s lush garden. The large suite has a beautifully designed living room with custom made cherry wood furnishings. The sitting area has an oversized coffee table and lounge chairs upholstered in Egyptian cotton. The room also features a dining table for six which is serviced by a fully equipped kitchen supervised by a well trained butler.

The resort spread over 483 acres is located on the northeastern corridor of the island of Puerto Rico. The location gives it a natural advantage as it is bordered by the 5,000 acre Espíritu Santo River State Preserve and the lush EI Yungue national forest. The property was formerly a coconut plantation and native maritime forest and still boasts of 100-foot palms and thick stands of seagrape, almond and flamboyant trees. It all combines to provide a stunning view to the residents of the Governor’s Suite. The master bedroom of the suite is also extra large and houses a King size bed apart from a walk-in closet, an in-room safe, an honor bar and a mini refrigerator.

The bathroom of the suite is also fully equipped. It features a large infinity tub and two separate showers and rain showers. It also boasts of an oversized mirror with an embedded LCD television. The suite also has an additional bathroom near the entrance for the convenience of the guests who might visit you.

The dining options available on the resort are also world class. Jean-Georges Vongerichten runs the Fern in his uncompromising culinary style. Seagrapes offers sizzling entrees from an outdoor grill and brick oven. Molasses Restaurant, located in the golf clubhouse is ideal for enjoying a casual Mediterranean style meal. The resort also features a full-service Remède Spa and an 18 holes golf course created by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The seaside pool and esplanade is another attraction at the resort. Guests with interest in outdoor activities have an abundance of choices like kayaking, cycling, boating, hiking, bird watching, snorkeling and scuba, water skiing, windsurfing, catamarans and fishing. Even at the price of $2,750 per night the suite is worth every penny.
