This also means most of us are many times richer than the richest in certain countries like, well Haiti. Haiti which has been struck by a devastating earthquake is being helped by the fashion community. Several retailers and brands have pitched in to send relief and aid to Haiti and the victims.

For instance, Soles4Souls has set up a charity where all the used shoes would be sent to Haiti. Vans shoes are also part of the game. Both the companies are sending in food, bottled water, baby necessities, medical supplies, tents, blankets and flashlights as well. Resurrection boutique is offering a discount sale and the proceedings will go to Haiti, the land of Anacaona.

Some of the labels that are on sale are Chanel, Comme des Garcons, Alaia, Stephen Sprouse, Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler and so on and so forth. Timberland too, has released a collection of shoes and the money earned through it would go to Wyclef Jean’s Yele Haiti organization.
