The cigar humidor designed by Austria based architect and interior designer Genco Berk is the new contemporary humidor which was designed after a lot of contemplation. Inspired by Chinese ancient coins which were round with a square hole in the middle representing heaven and earth, Berk antiquated that it was about time to change the humidor designs.
The humidor is limited to 300 pieces worldwide and Berk claims to be working on the second model due to be released in 2010. This humidor has been compared to gold standards. The theme of the humidor can be seen on the lid designed as the Chinese coins. The finish of the lid is in black glossy lacquer and is homage to Chinese lacquering.
Berk born in Istanbul is a cigar smoker since years and feels that since enjoying cigars is an emotional experience, it needs to be stored in appropriate containers to reflect that feeling. And so has he designed these humidors to have an eternal feeling. He has 30 long years of experience in high end residential and commercial interiors.
Elegance and sophistication have always been associated with cigar smoking and this humidor does justice to it. Marked at $4,400 this desktop accessory can hold up to 80 cigars and guarantees to make you feel right in heaven while on earth.
