One of the foremost and biggest ocean liner companies in the world, Cunard, will now be hosting a special event at the New York harbor called, ‘A Royal Rendezvous‘, to celebrate the rendezvous of three of the British ocean travel company’s biggest cruise ships, namely, Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth, that scheduled to arrive at the harbor and then set sail simultaneously to the Statue of Liberty for a grand fireworks display. It would be only the second time in the company’s over a hundred years old history, that all three flagships from its fleet will be joining together in New York. The last time such as feat happened was in the year 2008 and with this year’s celebrations, it would become quite evident how vital New York is for Cunard.
Marking this momentous occasion, Cunard’s Commodore Bernard Warner, along with Cunard president Peter Shanks and Carnival Corp. CEO Micky Arison are scheduled to ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), closing the trading day and closing bell will from the original Queen Elizabeth cruise liner. The fiesta will begin at 6.00 pm on January 13th, 2010, when all three cruise liners will depart from the Brooklyn and Manhattan cruise terminals and will assemble at the Statue of Liberty for a fireworks display at 6.45 pm. On this marvelous occasion, Cunard is offering seats to the public on the three cruise liners, that carry a price tag $106.55 per person and will be inclusive of a menu with ceviche, grilled filet mignon and pan-seared salmon.
