Cunard Elizabeth Ship to Celebrate Queen’s Diamond Jubilee

Since 1938, Cunard has been associated with the royal family of the U.K. who is the only person to attend all the three Cunard Elizabeth’s naming. The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee will be celebrated by Cunard Line on 5 June 2012, in a unique event of Three Queens in Southampton. The final day of Jubilee celebrations is also a bank holiday. These ships are epitome of style and glamour.  The newest Queen Elizabeth was named in October 2010 by Her Majesty the Queen in a grand ceremony.

The U.K.-based Cunard Line says all three ships will unite in celebration of monarch’s Diamond Jubilee. The three ships are the largest ever built by Cunard will be seen for the first time in formation arriving and departing together at the home port. President of Cunard Line, Peter Shanks says that they are pleased to be a part of the historic occasion in a memorable way and Cunard has been delighted to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee which marks the magnificent sixty years of reign.

The three queens, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 will advance towards the port after first light. A line of persons with a flotilla of small boats sail the Solent River and expected to greet them on Tuesday 5 June. The ships with whistles sounding will salute Her Majesty’s Jubilee. The events will take place throughout the day with great guest experience and the evening celebrations culminate where the ships will be brought very close to each other and the fireworks will light up with special effects.
