Comic-Con staged to be the next big thing in Fashion events

The pop-culture convention, Comic-Con, that took place last weekend at the San Diego Convention Center celebrated the rage of comics, with everything from Darth Vader to The Incredibles was witnessed. As some might assume that a costume party would involve not-so-great looking people wearing dorky apparel, this convention begged to differ, so much that it is staged to become the next fashion event.

The event saw a lot of member from the tinsel town, either to show their support for their favorite stars or promote their movies like Olivia Wilde did. She showed up in a long, black lace dress from Dolce & Gabbana with smokey-eye Chanel makeup. Also “Vampire Diaries” actress Nina Dobrev was spotted in a cocktail length with a deep V neckline dress paired up with red satin Brian Atwood heels.

Actress Ana de la Reguera looked super-chic in a floor-length Gucci gown that had a sheer skirt and heavily textured fuchsia top and dramatic tie- around neck. Calista Flockhart mainted a light quotient with black and white printed strapless dress was from Armani whereas Frieda Pinto from the “SlumDog Millionaire” fame came in a lime green shift dress with black piping. Malin Akerman on the other hand donned a black fitted dress from Theysken’s Theory with a cool design running down the front, which sort of had a sci-fi feel to it, which, I believe, was for the spirit of Comic-Con. So to sum up, the event saw tinsel town folks dressed in stylish designer labels with each of them having their own distinct style.
