Christian Louboutin Exhibition to Provide a Retrospective Glimpse

A retrospective look of twenty year career of Christian Louboutin will focus on  life and work. The exhibition will give an insight into his creative phase, and how he was successful to transform shoe design and creative influences, about opening of business and showcasing of iconic designs. The Design Museum has paid tribute to the designer exhibiting his iconic designs.

The French shoe designer is well known to use bright red under-sole for footwear all in twenty years career. His complete work will be displayed at Design Museum from March 28 to July 1 2012 in British capital.

New retrospective not only documents his life’s work, it also offers viewers an insight in creating shoes, and original designs. The images from movie ‘Fetish’, made teaming up with director David Lynch. Last month Christian revealed that he had launched his first book documenting his iconic styles during his 20 year career. A scholarly book has to be released which consists of collaborative work with Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, and a personal biography. The work yet has not named.

The book is divided into six chapters; the first chapter documents his personal biography, mentioning early work for Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel; the second chapter  gives a look at various interiors, and labels of international stores; the third gives the note of twenty year’s designer’s design, the fourth features closely associated photographs of the designer’s Egypt and Paris homes, finally, the fifth and sixth gives an account of  collaboration with highly respected director David Lynch. The tome has been contributed by Louboutin’s most cherished friends and models, including Kristen, Mika, Dita Von Teese, and Scott Thomas.
