This one of a kind chocolate hotel room features a complete chocolate replica of the French model Baptiste Giabiconi, while the entire room including the bed, headboard, desk, chair and lamp are all made of chocolate and it took Mr. Lagerfeld almost 10.5 ton of expensive chocolate to complete this magnificent creation. Baptiste Giabiconi, the 21 year old male model is the face of Chanel and Fendi as was personally selected by Karl Lagerfeld and his chocolate sculpture is the first of its kind for any model.
This one of a kind chocolate hotel room has been designed as a promotional tool for the international ice cream brand, Magnum, where in the model replica placed on the bed is shown holding a Magnum ice cream. Karl Lagerfeld in recent times has been quite active with Magnum, as the renowned designer has worked with the ice cream brand to direct short films that were later used as commercials for the brand. Just last month, Karl had signed up with Magnum to direct a trilogy of films, first of which called, ‘Photo Mood’ featured actress Rachel Bilson and was premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
