The winner of American Idol, Carrie Underwood and hockey player Mike Fisher are tying the knot in the serene surroundings of a resort in Greensboro, Georgia. The country singer and her NHL hubby are going to get married at the Ritz Carlton Lodge in Reynolds Plantation. The wedding will take place today. Trying to make sure that the paparazzi does not create too much trouble for this celebrity couple, the security is in full force.
A whopping 250 rooms have been booked to accommodate the guests that will include big names such as Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Fishers teammates from the Ottawa Senators. All the roads to the hotel will be blocked on the D-Day to prevent the fans from coming in and creating unnecessary disturbance and confusion. The newly-weds will be spending their wedding night in the massive 5,400 square foot Presidential Suite of the Ritz.
