Bulgari Opens their Second Ever Jewelry Retrospective in Paris

Bulgari has opened a retrospective of its jewelry. It is Bulgari’s second retrospective exhibition ever and it scheduled to run through January 12, 2011. To celebrate the occasion, Nicola Bulgari, Chairman of the Bulgari Group, and Francesco Trapani, CEO of Bulgari, hosted a private cocktail celebration at the Grand Palais in Paris on December 9. The retrospective is being exhibited in the 110 year old that is entirely dedicated to jewelry.

The guests attending the cocktail at the Grand Palais were no less than the jewels. Bulgari face Julianne Moore was in attendance at the event sporting a chic feather collar and some jeweled ear candy. Juliette Binoche, Carole Bouquet, Lenny Kravitz, Clive Owen, and Carine Roitfeld also graced the occasion. The exhibition spread over eight galleries features more than 600 jewels, watches and objets d’art.

One gallery is dedicated to jewels that were worn and owned by screen legends of the 1950s and 1960s: Anna Magnani, Claudia Cardinale, Gina Lollobrigida, Ingrid Bergman, Monica Vitti, and Sophia Loren, to name a few. Most of the items on display have been curated from Bulgari’s historical archives. Some items are loaned from private collectors and some are rare and are being displayed publicly for the first time.
