Boeing, the aviation giant introduced a new 737-700 at the Asian Business Aviation Conference in Shanghai. This ultra luxurious BBJ is a specially outfitted aircraft which has several technical advancements to make it suitable for long range flights. The jet was made for a private businessman in USA who already has another BBJ aircraft in his fleet. This airplane is very different from the regular BBJ convertible that Boeing offers. It not only has luxury interiors but has exclusive Honeywell Ovation Select high-speed digital communication system that makes it possible for the owner to work from his aircraft exactly like he works from his office.
Tony Brancato, Vice President for Business and General Aviation Aftermarket at Honeywell Aerospace, believes that Ovation Select is the most comprehensive solution that offers seamless and easy connectivity. The technology involved makes it possible for the passengers to be connected all the time whether they are using BlackBerry, iPad or laptop or are conducting video conference calls while flying at 36,000 feet. The entertainment system on the BBJ is top class. The audio is high quality surround sound and the video is brilliant 1080p high definition. 46 and 42 inch HDTV monitors have been installed in the jet.
The Boeing jet boasts of practically all the luxury amenities you might be attached to at home. The configuration and the design of the jet is for 19 passengers. The highlight is the personal stateroom with a king-size luxury bed along with shower and private lavatory. The guest stateroom has divans which can be converted into beds for eight guests. The center island located behind the flight deck features a shower and a kitchen with microwave ovens, convection, refrigerator, trash compacter and a wine cooler. The jet is capable of flying 12 hours non-stop and cover over 5,600 nautical miles. Price of the modification was indicated by Boeing.
