Art Deco Designs On Louis Vuitton’s New Line Of Handbags

If you like your handbags to make a bright and flashy statement, Louis Vuitton’s Cuir Art Deco collection is just what the doctor ordered. Bold geometric shapes and bright colors mark these Louis Vuitton handbags. It is the perfect foil to a subdued little black number and the ideal accompaniment for a colorful outfit. You will find plenty of vintage references in these bags that shout 21st-century fashion. At the same time, bags from the Cuir Art Deco collection have a very classic appeal. Art Deco was a design movement that began in Paris in the early decades of the 20th century. Louis Vuitton has combined this with the colors of the 1970s to create the new Cuir Art Deco collection of designer handbags.

Made from glossy calf leather the interiors of the bags are lined with goatskin. There is a bracelet-style clasp with a Louis Vuitton engraving, a magnetic top button, a back pocket and a flat pocket inside. The Cuir Art Deco line of bags comes in two variations – the east-west Baguette and the taller Trapeze style. The former measures 11.8in. x 6.3in. x 1.6in. and the latter measures 9.2in. x 8.3in. x 1.4in. In fact, these bags are even more vibrant than the line created by Kate Moss in association with Longchamp.

You will find plenty of reds, blues, purples and oranges. Officially, you have Violet and Terre in the Baguette style and Prune and Vieux Rose in the Trapeze version.

Planning to buy one of these designer handbags? Be prepared to shell out $3,750 for the Baguette and $3,450 for the Trapeze.
