Arnold & Sons HM Perpetual Moon Watch Ideal For Werewolves

The luxury watch makers, Arnold & Son have brought a watch that would be perfect for a werewolf. I kid you not. Their latest offering, the HM Perpetual Moon Watch tracks moon phases for 122 years. It is part of their Royal Collection and a tribute to John Arnold who had the privilege of making watches for King George III and members of the royal family, way back in the 18th century. This pre-Basel World launch has a 42 mm wide case and the largest moonphase watch aperture. The beautiful guilloche’ dial has a three dimensional moon. This moon was first hand engraved and then replicated for the collection.

It has a blue transparent lacquer finish, which adds to its mesmerizing beauty. It comes in two finishing: stainless steel or 18-karat 5N rose gold. The movement is mechanical hand-wound caliber A&S1512. The moon accuracy deviates by a day every 122 years, which can be easily corrected by a single push to the corrector. That doesn’t seem all that high maintenance, now does it? The exquisite timepiece has an 80 hour power reserve. The moon phase is not simply added to the module but is part of the calibre itself. A second moon indication has been installed at the back as well, which can be viewed thanks to the transparent back. This second moon display has graduated dial and a pointer hand. It looks lovely as well.
