Armin Strom Gravity series watches are clearly inspired by the elements of nature and are a fine example of haute horology. The watches in the series feature an automatic winding mechanism that recharges its movement. The Gravity series has watches in four different forms each representing one of the natural elements namely fire, air, water and earth. The most interesting element of the watch is its AMR13 movement that uses gravity to power its functions. It is a specially crafted movement with its lever made out of 18ct white gold. The seconds pinion and balance wheel have been placed on the same axis.
A Total of 171 Components are Assembled to Make the Watches
This innovation by Armin Storm is sure to change the way skeletonizing in watches is seen from now on. Each design in the series is unique and exclusive. The Armin Storm Gravity Air Watch comes in a 43.40mm wide titanium casing which is covered by sapphire crystal treated to make it anti-reflective. The gravitational force of the earth powers the AMR13 mechanism that ensures smooth functioning inside. A total of 171 components are put together to make the watch which boasts of five day power reserve. The watch is resistant to water up to a depth of 50 meters. Only 100 units of the watch will be produced.
Each Design Limited to Only 100 Pieces
The design representing earth comes in a similar configuration but has a black PVD coated stainless steel casing. The dial is also black with mirror polished hands. The matching strap is also made from black horn back alligator leather. This too is limited to only 100 pieces. The Gravity Water watch comes in a 43.40mm wide stainless steel casing which has sapphire crystal anti-reflective covering on both faces. The strap is made from blue horn-back alligator leather. The Armin Storm Gravity Fire watch boasts of an 18k rose gold casing. The strap is dark brown horn-back alligator leather with 18ct rose gold clasp. Each design in the series is remarkable and the innovative winding mechanism makes it unique to make it truly a luxury watch.
