Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance Witnesses 250 Vintage Cars

What could be said of vintage cars, without mentioning their elegance and classical beauty? Well, perhaps that no car ever can match the beauty of an aged car, which only comes with several decades rolling by. A few days ago, the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance took place at the Ritz-Carlton in Amelia Island between the 12-14 March, 2010.

The event saw more than 250 classic cars being exhibited and most of them are truly are. Mercedes Benz, which is the founding sponsor of the event celebrated the existence of the event for 15 long years. Some of the cars that were showcased by Mercedes Benz were legendary Le Mans-winning 1952 300 SL and 1956 300 SL “Gullwing” Coupe, along with the 2011 SLS AMG.

If you like cars and especially those luxurious vintage cars, you really had to visit the event. Unfortunately, it is long over, and you may just want to check out the pictures at least and make plans of buying a vintage car for yourself! Or, start dreaming about the next Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance which would take place in 2011. This event surely will woo a lot of vintage car lovers!
