Allure of the Automobile: A Luxury and Vintage car Exhibition at Portland Art Museum

The Allure of the Automobile is an exhibition at the Portland Art Museum which would feature 16 of the world’s most expensive, rare and luxurious automobiles. You could check out the avant-garde 1937 Hispano-Suiza which was possessed by French apéritif baron André Dubonnet. You could also take a look at the 1957 Jaguar XK-SS roadster. It was owned by Steve McQueen. The idea is to present art movements such as Art Moderne and Postwar Modernity in the context of cars. You could also see the difference between European and American design in cars. The exhibition includes an audio tour featuring Jay Leno.
