The competition to attract the top end of flying passengers has intensified. Air France has announced a new option for its first class passengers. The French airline has teamed up with French business jet operator Wijet to offer private jet connections within Europe. The offer is aimed primarily at passengers arriving at Charles de Gaulle, Paris from intercontinental flights. It provides them with a convenient option for their onward journey. All international airlines have become active to corner more business from the high spending luxury traveler and Air France is no exception. Just sometime back they had launched their ‘La Premiere First Class Suites’ for the crème de la crème passengers.
The new premium private jet service will be based at Charles de Gaulle, Paris and offer convenient flights to multiple destinations in Europe. It will offer smooth hassle free transfer to private planes to passengers arriving from long haul flights. The service will enable the passengers to save a lot of time. Wijet has a very wide network within Europe and can land or fly from 1200 airports with simplified departure procedures. There are no check-in formalities and boarding is immediate. Even while landing passengers on the private jet can disembark with their baggage without waiting. The transfer from the Air France long haul jet to the private plane is done in limousines.

Air France Private Jet Service

The biggest advantage, however is that passengers opting for the private jet service can choose their own departure time. The jets provided for this new service are lavishly done up. The cabin is configured for just four roomy leather club chairs. Two of the chairs can recline to 140° which is ideal for relaxing during the flight. There is ample storage space and folding shelves for your luggage. Above all the cabin is very quiet and you can truly relax during the flight. The service is not available on a per passenger basis but on per aircraft basis. The prices start at €2,400 ($3,265) for a round trip to or from Paris-Charles de Gaulle. Air France claims that the rates are very competitive and almost 40% less than what is prevalent in the private jet market.
