These days a trend that does not seem to abate is that of creating watches inspired by high end cars. Another addition to that is the limited edition time-piece called AV-L001, which has taken inspiration from the Lamborghini sports cars. Adriano Valente has designed them and used Karbonyte that incorporates carbon fiber elements in the mix. Grade 5 Titanium and Aluminum are also used, which when combined with the Speedometer shape look pretty cool.
A total of six colors are available including Nero Tartarus (Karbonyte color), Giallo Hyperion (bright yellow), Rosso Eos (bright red), Grigio Menoetius (slate gray), Bianco Ophian (white), and Green Icaria (bright green). As you can see in the picture, the top dial displays the date. It also has a great power reserve of 42 hours. The watch movement is the unique mechanical Engine 001 movement, made exclusively for the company. It also comes with a sapphire crystal cover that is scratch resistant and anti-reflective. The rubberized strapping has stitching to match the main casing and adds even more funk to the timepiece.
Since this is a limited edition, all the watches will have a special number that will be etched at the rear end of the casing.  But just like the Lamborghini cars, these babies don’t come cheap either. With a price tag of $35,100, it can probably be afforded by only those who can afford a Lamborghini in the first place. Well for those lucky few, this would be without a question the watch to wear while driving around town in your Lamborghini.
