The world of automobiles has now turned quite into the likes wine, where the older a car gets, the more refined it becomes and this has yet again been affirmed by the legendary 1931 C20 Mylord Demi-Berline that has now gone under the hammer for a whopping $2.75 million. The exquisite Mylord was the brainchild of iconic aviation pioneer, Gabriel Voisin, who had shown remarkable skills in the development of the Mylord luxury car.  Mr. Voisin is the man behind some of the most breathtaking vintage wheels, amounting to about 11,000, out of which only 100 automobile have managed to sustain the sands of time. The 1931 C20 Mylord Demi-Berline was powered by a  V-12 engine and featured incredible Art Deco inspired coachwork, thus becoming the icon of French auto industry between the duration of 1920s and 1930s.
This magnificent vehicle was long seen at the  Blackhawk Collection in California till the year 2007, when finally the Mylord was fully restored and the sensational piece of  vintage automotive engineering and art even grabbed the  Best in Show honors at the highly prestigious  Amelia Island Concours d’elegance in the year 2009. Gabriel Voisin along with his brother Charles are well known as the stark competitors to the Wright Brothers and have been the pioneer of the French aviation in the early 20th century. Their company, Avions Voisin was one of the premier names in the development of fighter aircraft for French forces during First World War and the company later went on to design and develop luxury automobiles.
