The relationship between the hotel industry and the music industry is on an upswing. Hotels are increasingly announcing special musical programs and events for special occasions. W Hotels has recently announced a global tour of DJs that adds to the depth of its musical offerings. They have announced this program in association with energy drink Burn that will see a group of upcoming talented DJs travel around the world to showcase their talent and music in their different hotels.
W Hotels has selected a group of six DJ competition winners and is sending them on a week-long crash course dubbed the DJ Lab. It is a kind of a workshop for the emerging talents and will commence at W Barcelona and conclude at the burn studios Hacienda in Ibiza, the Spanish island renowned for its clubbing. A detailed program is being worked out as these selected DJs are scheduled to crisscross the globe to perform at W hotels for exclusive events. This global tour is scheduled to start later this month.
The hotels that are part of the DJ’s itinerary are the properties in New York, Miami, Hollywood, London, Barcelona, Istanbul, Doha, Hong Kong, Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, the Maldives, Bali, Koh Samui, and Vieques. W Hotel has arranged to stream the music and the mixes for the users of the W Hotels iPhone app. The application features a music section that boasts of a specially curated playlist. Even if you are unable to make it to live performances you will have access to all their music. The musical offerings by the hotels are sure to increase in the future.
